Use Stashly with AI assistants

Stashly can act as a memory for your AI assistant. Once connected, you can ask things like "what did I save about sourdough?" or "save this link to my Recipes collection", and the assistant works with your real library instead of guessing.

This works through MCP, an open standard many assistants support for connecting to other services.

The address

Every assistant asks for the same server address:

https://api.stash.ly/mcp

You will be asked to sign in to Stashly and approve access. You can disconnect an assistant at any time in Settings, Connections, AI assistants.

Claude

On claude.ai, open Settings, Connectors, choose Add custom connector, paste the address and sign in.

ChatGPT

Custom connectors in ChatGPT currently require developer mode. Turn it on under Settings, Apps & Connectors, Advanced, then create a connector with the address above.

Grok and others

Grok supports connectors at grok.com/connectors. Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in will work the same way: paste the address, sign in, approve.

What an assistant can do

• On every plan: search your saves, open a save or a collection, list your collections, tags, todos and Quick Save queue, and find saves related to one another.

• With Stashly Plus: save and delete links, create, move and organize collections, edit saves, link related saves, sort Quick Save and manage todos. Approve write access when you connect, or the assistant can only read.

What it cannot do

An assistant only sees what you have saved, and only after you approve it. It cannot see or change anything in your vault, and it cannot act on anyone else's account.
